Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana, reverberated with the stirring spirit of nationalism as the school commemorated Chetna Diwas through a week-long celebration, paying homage to the indomitable courage of India’s freedom fighters and rekindling the collective consciousness of young citizens.
The celebration unfolded as a vibrant confluence of patriotism, creativity, culture and civic responsibility, with students participating enthusiastically in a spectrum of activities including patriotic role plays, fancy dress, declamation, dance and choreography competitions, patriotic song presentations, and the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyaan. Each presentation became a compelling expression of love for the motherland and a reminder that freedom carries with it the profound responsibility of preserving the nation’s unity, dignity and progress.
The patriotic role plays and declamations brought alive inspiring episodes from India’s freedom struggle, while the fancy-dress presentations transformed young participants into evocative embodiments of national heroes and icons. Melodious patriotic renditions and scintillating dance performances portrayed India’s glorious journey from the struggle for freedom to the aspiration of a Viksit Bharat. Creative presentations depicting India: Then and Now sensitised students to the sacrifices and struggles associated with the nation’s history while inspiring them to envision a progressive and self-reliant India.
A special highlight was the “Tiranga Yatra” by Balvatikans, who marched with infectious enthusiasm, proudly carrying the Tricolour and raising spirited slogans of unity and freedom. Their innocent yet powerful expressions of patriotism created an unforgettable ambience across the school campus.
The week-long observance thus emerged not merely as a celebration of patriotism, but as a vibrant educational odyssey connecting the sacrifices of the past with the aspirations of a resurgent India, inspiring young minds to become responsible citizens and architects of a Viksit Bharat.
Principal Mrs. Ranju Mangal remarked that such celebrations transcend ceremonial observance and become powerful avenues for nurturing national consciousness, cultural rootedness and responsible citizenship.
